Doris Chelak (nee Werezak)
August 1, 1923 - July 15, 2016
Chelak, Doris S. (nee. Werezak)
It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunty and Friend to so many.
Mom was born August 1, 1923 in St. Julien, Saskatchewan and passed away July 15, 2016 at the University of Alberta Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Peter; her sons: Wayne (Lorraine) of Calgary, Byron (Deanna) of Edmonton and Rob of Texas; and her grandchildren: Kristen (Harold) of Ontario, Brent (Lisa) of Calgary, Randi and Carla (Nik), all of Edmonton. She was a retired employee of the Canada Post. She lived a full and amazing life.
In lieu of flowers, it was mom's request that donations be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to Dr. Hamilton and the entire staff of Unit 5D2 at the University of Alberta Hospital.
