Kenneth Wegner
January 24, 1952 - August 7, 2016
Ken is survived by his wife Glenda, daughters Melissa and Tegan, son Nicholas, mother Grace Wegner and four siblings.
Ken was born to Reinhart and Grace Wegner in Barrhead, Alberta where he grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Barrhead High school, moved to Edmonton where he completed one year at the University of Alberta and spent 40 years working as a Water Tech for Alberta Environment.
Ken will be well remembered for his very unique laugh, for always having his nose In a book, eating chocolate chip cookies and dairy queen (even for breakfast), his love for the motorbikes, the outdoors and most importantly spending time with family.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, August 13th, 1pm at Evergreen Memorial Gardens and Funeral Chapel with reception to follow. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Kens life. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations can be made to the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute.
