<div itemprop="description">On March 28, 2016 Manuel passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital.<br />He will be remembered by his loving wife Irene and sister Evangelina. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.<br />He was predeceased by his parents Joa&otilde; and Evangelina as well as his sister Isabelle.<br />Manuel was born in The Azores, he came to Canada with Irene in 1960. He worked with CN, building the railway. He later worked at Northern Alberta Dairy pool for many years. Manuel will be remembered for his cooking and his love of wine, his laughter and jokes will be missed.<br />In lieu of flowers, donations in Manuel`s name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.<br />The family would like to thank the staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for the love and kindness shown to Manuel. <br /></div>
