<div itemprop="description">&nbsp; <p> Born in Stony Plain, Alberta, Walter moved to Edmonton in 1945 and worked at Gainer&rsquo;s Meat Packing Plant until he retired in 1988. He devoted many years to various charities. </p> <p> He will be sadly missed by his son, William (Irene); daughters, Patricia Pierce, Donna Chaput (Paul Mills); grandchildren, Billy, Kevin (Teri-Ann), Garry (Kathy) Zucht, Terri-Lynn (Randy) McLaughlin, Steven (Jackie) and Laurie Leicht, Christina (James) Clapham, Bradley, Scott, Nichole Chaput; great grandchildren, William, Nicholas, Cassandra, Tessa, Ella, Mikhaila,&nbsp; Cody, Kyle, Joseph, and Layla; sister, Joyce June (Philip) Heiland, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. </p> <p> Walter was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Lynn; parents, Gustav and Magdalena; and sister, Erma Kuss. </p> <p> In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre, Old Timers Cabin (Log Fund), or a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. &nbsp; </p> </div>
