William John Campbell
September 10, 1923 - April 3, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, cousin, and uncle, William (Bill) John Campbell on April 3, 2016. He passed peacefully at 92 years of age, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on September 10, 1923 in Winterburn, Alberta and later moved to Sturgeon County. Of Irish decent, he believed in large gatherings, loving food, good times and telling stories; he worked hard and played hard. He was married to his loving wife Doris for 61 amazing years of togetherness. Bill is forever remembered by his daughters Brenda Mae (Larry) Whitnack of St. Albert; Shirley Lynn (Dave) Rosichuk of Sturgeon County; Norma Thoben of St. Albert; son William Hilton Campbell and his partner Eric Dyke of Sturgeon County; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; along with brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, sisters-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
