<div itemprop="description">On Thursday, September 3, 2015, Felix Jenkins Archer passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Edmonton, AB.<br /><br />Felix is survived by his children, Gene (Greta), Marcia (Michael), Kurt, Coretta, and Karl; grandchildren, Jerome, Barbara (David), Zinnie (Colin), Janel, Giselle, Lydia, and Kandice; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Daxton, Makhi, Tiah, and Isaac; brother, Adolphus; sister, Amida; and numerous extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Archer, by his son, Glen Archer, and by four of his siblings.<br /><br />Felix immigrated to Canada from Jamaica in 1966, and enjoyed a long and fulfilling life, with a great interest in teaching, storytelling, writing, and literature. <br /><br />Those who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend any or all of the following events on Saturday, September 12, 2015:<br /><br />A viewing/visitation from 11:30 am &ndash; 12:30 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home (16204 Fort Road NW, Edmonton), immediately followed by the interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.<br /><br />A memorial service at 2:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah&rsquo;s Witnesses (5003 - 162 Avenue NW, Edmonton).<br /><br />The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Auxiliary Hospital, who lovingly cared for Felix in his final weeks. The family also wishes to thank the members of the University Congregation of Jehovah&rsquo;s Witnesses, who gave Felix such great support.<br /><br />In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Felix may be made at any Kingdom Hall of Jehovah&rsquo;s Witnesses, or to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. <br /><br /></div>
