Pflughaupt, Rodney Charles
(March 13, 1969 - December 4, 2016)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rodney. For those of us who were blessed to know Rod we will carry with us the memories of a gentle, yet mischievous soul. One who was always happy to see us and only asked for a hug, a smile and of course a Coca-Cola.

Born in Fort St. John, British Columbia he moved to Edmonton at an early age. Rod spent his early year’s speed racing through the neighborhood on his tricycle. As he moved through life he continued to discover things he loved as much as that bike - music, dancing, swimming, pranks, pets and the Oilers where #99 to this day, is still captain. He loved not only with his heart, but his entire being, without hesitation or reserve.

Rod is survived by his sister Betty (Darwin), sister-in-law Cindy, brother Herb (Colleen), brother Kirk (Laura), long time friends Barry, Bonnie and Lorin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Lucy and by his brother Arnold.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rod's life by wearing their Oilers jerseys and sharing a Coke with us.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
