Victor Molofy passed away peacefully at home on Wed, Nov 2nd, 2016 at the age of 84.

Vic is survived by his wife Marjory, his four children Carol, Darren (Veronica), Bob and Cathy (Jesse) plus nine grandchildren Matthew (Lindsey), Tyler (Erika), Kendall, Ryan (Jenelle), Devin (Sammi), Cameron, Jenna, Halen & Teilani. He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel & Katie and brothers Russell & John.

Vic started his work career with Northern Alberta Railway (NAR) then became an operator with Edmonton Transit in 1961, retiring in 1989.

Vic’s passion in life was supporting his family. Vic & Marj enjoyed just over 61 years together in loving marriage. He visited with his parents almost daily before they passed away. He watched his children grow with pride and always encouraged them to work hard and never give up on their goals. He has spent many, many hours supporting his grandchildren attending events and cheering them on with the enthusiasm only he had! His pup Kimo was his best friend to the very end!

Vic (Sparky) loved spending time outdoors and could often be found tending the campfire til all hours of the night. In fact, starting the campfire was usually more important than unloading the vehicle and setting up camp! He often could be found tending to his yard and visiting with neighbors.
Vic had a very unique flare for challenging the norm and making people in the room think outside the box. If there was a room full of people cheering on the Eskimos in the Grey Cup, Vic would be the only one there cheering for the other side!

We’ll miss him dearly!

A funeral is scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday Nov 12th at Pilgrim United Church – 9008-135 Ave with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to plant a tree! If you choose to donate to charity in Vic’s memory, please donate to the charity of your choice.
